August 31 Sts. Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus

Today, during Mass, I saw the Lord Jesus in the midst of His sufferings, as though dying on the cross. He said to me, My daughter, meditate frequently on the sufferings which I have undergone for your sake, and then nothing of what you suffer for Me will seem great to you. You please me most when you meditate on My Sorrowful Passion. Join your little sufferings to My Sorrowful Passion, so that they may have infinite value before My Majesty.

-St. Faustina Kowalska

Prayer before a Crucifix

Look down on me, good and gentle Jesus, while before Your face I humbly kneel, and with burning soul I pray and beseech You to fix deep in my heart lively sentiments of faith, hope and charity, true contrition for my sins, and a firm purpose of amendment, while I contemplate with great love and tender pity Your five wounds, pondering over them with me, calling to mind the words that David, Your prophet, said of You, my good Jesus: “They have pierced My hands and My feet; they have numbered all My bones.”

Amen.

Say Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be for the Catholic Church and the intentions of the Holy Father.
