July 30 St. Leopold Mandic

We should all be seized with fear, the whole world should tremble, all the heavens exult, when Christ, the Son of the living God, is on the altar in the hands of the priest! How lofty and exalted, what sublime humility! What humble sublimity that the Lord of the universe, God and the Son of God, so humbles himself for our salvation that he hides himself within a simple piece of bread! Look at the humility of our God, brothers, and “pour out your hearts before him.”

-St. Francis of Assisi

When we touch the sick and needy, we touch the suffering body of Christ.

-St. Teresa of Kolkata

Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament

O Virgin Mary, our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament, you are the glory of the Christian people, the joy of the universal Church, and the salvation of the whole world. Pray for us, and awaken in all believers a vibrant devotion for the most Holy Eucharist, so that they may be worthy to partake daily of this holy Sacrament of the Altar.
