June 3 Sts. Charles Lwanga and Companions

It was indifferent to me in what manner He would have me make my retreat, whether in suffering or in enjoyment. “All is well,” I said to myself, “provided He is satisfied and I love Him, that is enough for me.” But no sooner had I shut myself up alone with Him, than He appeared to me, as I lay prostrate on the ground, shivering with cold and pain. He raised me up and loaded me with caresses, saying: “At last thou art wholly Mine and given up entirely to My care; therefore I intend to give thee back in perfect health to those who have thus placed thee sick in My hands.” And He restored me so completely that it seemed as though I had never been ill.

Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus

O Sacred Heart of Jesus, filled with infinite love, accept the consecration that I make to You of all that I am and all that I have. Take my body, my mind, my heart, and my soul. Draw me, day by day, ever nearer to Your Sacred Heart.
